Anna is a 3-4 year old dog. She is an Akbash - Anatolian Shepherd cross. She recently had a litter of 11 healthy puppies, and now that she is in KAAP care she has been spayed and vaccinated. Anna is a sweet tempered girl. She gets along with the other (dominant) male dog in the foster home and largely ignores the cats.
These are the things Anna loves: running, car rides (esp. if she can curl up on the front seat beside the driver), her soft bed, curling up on the couch, treats, compliments, etc.

maggie-4
Maggie is a 12 year old small Shepherd cross. Her owner has gone into permanent care and she is left homeless. She desperately needs some one to care for her for her last few years. She is loyal and kind hearted and enjoys going for walks. She has a limp on a hind leg that was suspected abuse, from before her owner adopted her from the SPCA 11 years ago. She may have to be euthanized as the care person cannot look after her for long (she lives in a "no animal" apartment). Spike
Spike is a five-year old neutered German Shepherd who until he came to KAAP spent his life as a guard dog. When his people had to move and he was about to be euthanized, KAAP brought him into care. Not surprisingly he has found that life as a pet in his foster home is way more to his liking than being on a chain 24/7. True to his breed, he will bark and let you know if you are about to have a visitor - but don’t let his name fool you – once he meets a new person he welcomes all the attention and love he can con out of you.
